In this article, I would like to share with you how to bypass the latest mega download limit. This way will help you download data from mega.nz without having to wait and download unlimited data.
1. What is Mega.nz?
Mega . nz is the homepage of one of the most popular cloud storage services Mega today. This data storage service is released on Android, IOS, MacOS, Windows, Linux platforms. When you sign up for a new account you can get up to 50GB of free storage.
Everyone here who has used mega or downloaded data from this site must be no stranger to having to wait for the data to load before it is loaded on the browser or being limited to only 4GB. /day with free account.
That’s why in this article I will share with you how you can download files from Mega without waiting and can bypass the mega download limit.
2. How to Bypass Mega Download Limit
2.1. Prepare tools
You download the MegaBasterd software by following the link ( https://github.com/tonikelope/megabasterd/releases ). This tool supports on Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms, please choose the appropriate version and download it.
Since I use windows, I will only do the tutorial on Windows.
2.2. Steps to take
Step 1: You extract the downloaded file, we will get the folder containing the software as shown.
Step 2: Double-click the MegaBasterd file to launch the software.
Step 3: To start downloading the file, click File > New Download
Step 4: Customize the settings
- First you need to paste the link you want to download into the empty box. You can paste multiple links at once by entering a newline. If you copied the mega.nz link before, the software will auto-populate that link.
- Next, you choose for yourself the folder where you want to save the downloaded file. Please do as shown in the picture.
- Finally, click Let’s dance, baby to continue
Step 5: Here you can customize to remove the files that you do not want to download by selecting the file and clicking remove this . Then you click Let’s dance, baby to start the download process.

2.3. How to Bypass Mega Download Limit – Unlimited Downloads
To be able to download unlimited amounts on meganz, this software will support you with the condition that you must have a Proxy. The higher the quality and the more proxies, the more downloads you can get. Here, I will not guide you how to find Proxy, if you are interested I will share it with you in another article.
Step 1: Click Edit > Settings.
Go to the Downloads tab and scroll down and check the Use SmartProxy box. A notification window pops up, click ok.
Step 2: You paste the proxies you have in the blank box and then click Save to save. If you don’t know where to find Proxy, you can download this file of mine (Download file). Or you can refer to the video tutorial to find HQ Proxy free that I attached below.
Step 3: Done. You just have to enjoy the result.!
3. Some notes when using MegaBasterd
When you first use this tool when opening the software you will receive this message. You can press No to continue using but next time it will continue to notify.
To turn off, select Yes, then go to the page (https://mega.nz/sdk), log in to your account to get the API key.
Then go to Edit > Setting > Advanced and paste the API key into the MEGA API KEY box.
